Our client, a leading leisure vehicle specialist located in South Wales, is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their purpose-built site in Carmarthen.
Reporting to senior management and working as part of a friendly team, in the role of an Accounts Assistant your responsibilities will include:
* Matching/checking/coding invoices.
* Processing payments (individual and supplier-run).
* Liaising with external suppliers and internal colleagues for queries.
* Posting bank statements.
* Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
* Setting up new suppliers and maintaining existing details.
* Filing paperwork.
* Clearing warranty invoices.
* Investigating outstanding creditors.
* Assist in audit preparation/submissions.
* Assist the accounting team and admin team when required.
* Querying price increase/unusual spend.
To be eligible our client is looking for a well-presented individual who has a positive work ethic and recent or current experience within a similar Accounts Assistant role. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised and a good team player, able to work to strict deadlines and pay attention to detail. They should be self-motivated with the ability to solve problems and be IT literate (experience with Microsoft Office or the Navigator dealer management system would be beneficial). Any previous experience in a similar automotive accounts role, any relevant accountancy qualifications, or a personal interest in leisure vehicles such as motorhomes or caravans would be highly advantageous however it is non-essential.
