A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruit two Ward Clerks ( 37.5 and 24.0 Hours per week) Monday to Friday on Gloucester Ward / Preoperative Assessment Unit at Bristol Eye Hospital. The role of the Ward Clerk is vital to the BEH as you will play an important role in ensuring high standards of administrative governance on the very busy units. You will be required to be the first point of contact on the ward, so a friendly and welcoming demeanour and calmness under pressure are essential for this role.
Responsibilities will include :
Supporting the Ward Manager and Band 6s and acting as the patient’s first point of contact on the ward. Here to help greeting and signposting patients and relatives, processing patients using CareFlow, liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay with the hospital, sending out patient information, sorting and distributing post. The maintenance of paper and electronic records is also a key element of this role (including filling). You will be responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust’s core values at all times.
