Our client is a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider specializing in delivering IT support and solutions to the education sector. Their mission is to enhance the educational experience through technology, providing schools and educational institutions with reliable, innovative, and cost-effective IT services.
Position Overview: They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Account Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience working within an MSP environment. While prior experience in education sales is highly desirable, it is not mandatory. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and grow relationships with our clients in the education sector, ensuring their IT needs are met with excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of existing clients within the education sector, acting as their primary point of contact, whilst continuing to hunt and win new business within your account base.
* Manage the full sales cycle, including qualification, demonstration + presentations, Proposals, contract negotiations, management throughout the delivery process + continuous account management.
* Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their unique IT needs and objectives.
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services and solutions.
* Work closely with the technical team to ensure the timely and successful delivery of their services according to client needs and objectives.
* Prepare and present regular reports on account status and performance.
* Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential new clients.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure their services remain competitive and relevant.
* Attend industry events and networking opportunities to represent the company and expand the client base.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years experience working within an MSP environment.
* Proven track record of managing client relationships and achieving sales targets.
* Experience in the education sector is preferred but not essential.
* Strong understanding of IT services and solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
