NRL are supporting with a Major Tier 1 Contractor on their search for a Project Engineer to work on a Major Project in London.
Alongside the Project Manager / Project Director and project team, you will be accountable for successful project delivery including planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover/close out.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Formalizing and specifying an engineered delivery solution.
2. Briefing out the solution to the working party and ensuring it is completed through effective management and leadership.
3. Managing and caring for the people delivering the works while monitoring compliance with customer/project requirements, objectives, constraints, time, cost, quality, and safety.
Personal Qualities and Experience
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
1. National Grid Experience
2. An organised, innovative, and creative Project Engineer with knowledge and experience of working on projects who is proficient in commercial/project management communications.
3. Experience in implementing safe systems of work.
4. Experience in managing risks and change processes through a solutions-based approach to problem solving.
5. Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and the ability to negotiate and influence.
6. Ability to discuss ideas and plans competently and with confidence.
7. Ability to communicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Awareness and promotion of the benefits of diversity and inclusion.
9. Demonstration of resilience and determination to succeed.
10. Proactively develop others around you, including junior members of the team.
11. Identify and drive personal development.
12. Proficient on O365.
The role holder is likely to have one or more of the following:
1. Holds or is working towards a formal qualification in construction/engineering or equivalent industry experience.
2. Holds or desires to work towards either the APM PFQ/PMQ.
3. Holds CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent.
