This is a permanent, part time role, offering 21 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in DPHC dental centres (DC), to improve force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.
Job responsibilities
Duties will include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring their surgery is prepared appropriately for the day's patients in accordance with current regulations.
* Maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which they are responsible, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.
* Working collaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interests of patients.
* Carrying out dental work under the direction of a registered dentist who has examined the patient and indicated in writing the course of treatment to be provided.
* Managing the patient appointment system as required.
* Accurately recording treatment on each patient's electronic health records.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Certificate/Diploma in Dental Hygiene or BSc in Dental Therapy
* Registration with the General Dental Council (please include details on any current, spent, or impending restrictions to practice)
* National Examination Board of Dental Nurses (NEBDN) qualified
Experience
* Knowledge of a range of oral health procedures; acquired through training to degree level or to diploma level plus experience to degree equivalent level.
