Position - Engineering Site Supervisor

Position Concept
As the post holder, you will be expected to have extensive understanding of building services (mechanical, electrical, plumbing & associated assets). As an integrated member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for effective inspection, operation and maintenance of all associated MEP assets across the sites, with focus on critical facilities risk management and enhancing the quality of the service delivery through effective technical engineering capabilities.
Supporting the Account Manager in the overall delivery of day-to-day MEP operations and leading the engineering team at 60 London Wall in line with Integral/JLL process and procedures. One of the key activities involves the role of authorised person for LV electrical systems and critical infrastructure. You will be authorised to issue PTW, ensuring compliance with method statements, risk assessments, JLL/RELX and supplier health and safety procedures.
Key parts of the role are to manage day-to-day operations, leading the engineering team and provide technical advice/ support for the JLL/Integral team members within the portfolio via regular meetings and providing technical reports when required.
Key Tasks
Duties to include:
Lead the on-site engineering team and work with the contract administrator.
Manage operation of all MEP systems within the portfolio (including LV electrical isolations/operations), making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
Assisting SAP with building electrical shutdowns as LV AP for site, as well as other small projects for site.
Ensure that specialist vendors service visits are completed efficiently, and quality of work has been inspected, and recommendations are communicated to the duty JLL FM team and Account Manager.
Occasionally cover early or late shift (between 7am – 7pm) if required.
Accurately reporting of all completed work orders, including precise recording of any critical spares/stock items used during these tasks. Utilising the Concept and Touchpoint platforms.
Providing technical advice and support to colleagues and the client.
Attend weekly/monthly contract meetings when scheduled.
Completing reports, ensuring that significant events or activities are noted and effectively communicated to JLL FM team and Integral management when required.
Actively participate and complete health and safety compliance activities, such as good catch/near miss reporting and toolbox talks.
Accountable for compliance within Integral/JLL process and procedures when undertaking all relevant work orders, ensuring risk management documentation (SOP/EOP) is in place for all critical works.
Ensure Integral site logbooks and shared drive are compliant and contain latest up to date documentation/information.
Review sub-contractor RAMS, completing vetting form (SOPF 15 02) and other compliance/safety documentation before works are approved/attended.
Ensure all relevant PTW's are issued to Integral sub-contractors before works begin.
Liaise with the supply chain, when ordering M&E components for remedial/corrective works.
Attend nominated training courses as identified by Integral management in line with agreed training matrix.
Undertake site specific technical assessments and skills gap analysis at intervals defined by Integral/JLL.
Take ownership of areas (including all plant rooms) under Integral control, ensuring they are brought up too and maintained to the required show site standards.
Evaluate and escalate any potential risks, with an assessment of impact, probable causes and mitigation opportunities.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work and innovations, ensuring compliance with relevant Health and Safety policy and procedures.
Complete reactive, planned & corrective work orders in line with SFG20 and ensure reliability of assets through excellent standards of maintenance delivery.
Accurate completion of all PPM/reactive work orders that have been allocated for completion, including accurate capture of time spent on tasks and clear/concise details of works undertaken within agreed SLA's.
On occasion you will be required to attain and provide JLL with quotes for additional, remedial, project and sub-contractor works.
Personal Specification:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in building maintenance including critical environments/equipment.
LV Authorised Person (or ability to complete internal training).
Electrical/mechanical engineering apprenticeship or similar.
C&G Parts. 1&2, equivalent or exceeds.
18th Edition IEE: wiring and installation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and work with staff.
Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
Have good IT and report writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and previous experience; but not meet all the required technical qualifications may be considered subject to operations Directors' approval.

A high level of initiative, with drive to continuously improve the operation and suggest innovative ideas.
A smart presentable appearance.
Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations.
Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions.
Enthusiasm and demonstration of pro-activity, diligence and alertness, with the willingness to participate in appropriate internal training programmes.
Available to work outside of normal working hours occasionally/when required.
Integrity, honesty and punctuality is also expected.
A bonus but not a requirement: C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
