You will be joining Apex Hotels during an exciting period of growth and expansion following recent acquisitions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pragmatic and detail-orientated Senior Marketing Specialist to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Group Director of Marketing you will support them with the delivery of the marketing strategies and goals to drive revenue growth and profitability. The primary focus of the role is planning, creating and executing marketing campaigns and initiatives for Apex Hotels and its sub brands and being a key point of contact across the business. Initially the role will be working from home in line with government guidelines, but as soon as restrictions allow, access to a Head Office in Edinburgh will be available. Role Purpose: This role is a varied position and responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the delivery of marketing strategies including the digital media strategy, email strategy and social media strategy
* Supporting with the creation, implementation and execution of marketing activity on online and offline channels including, briefing and co-ordinating tasks with the wider team, monitoring performance analysis and optimisation of campaigns, budget management, measuring, tracking and reporting through marketing analytics and KPI's and ensuring all activity meets desired ROI
* Ensuring there is effective and accurate messaging and branded marketing communications across all channels
* Ensuring all revenue streams receive marketing support in a timely manner
* Monitoring marketing trends, tools and applications specific to the hotel industry and target markets
* Analysing and reporting on marketing data to influence marketing efforts and audience targeting
* Motivating, supervising and supporting the marketing team on key projects and initiatives
* Working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including a digital marketing and PR agency
A proven track record in marketing, managing successful traditional and digital campaigns, as well as achieving revenue targets
* Good knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, digital marketing certifications would be desirable
* Passionate and pragmatic about proactive marketing initiatives
* Ability to manage multiple projects, organise and prioritise
* Experience using a CRM for reporting, research and insight purposes
* Able to build credible relationships and work highly collaboratively and effectively in engaging colleagues around the business
* A genuine passion for the tourism industry and an interest in travel
