Welcome & Service Assistant - Ulverston Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £11.64 per hour Contract: Permanent Hours: 15 hours per week (which is an average of 2 days per week). The role will include weekend and bank holiday working but no evenings or split shifts. What it's like to work here The successful candidates will join the Welcome Team as the face of our organisation. We often say that a visitor may spend their whole day on National Trust land but never realise it. Our team aim to change that by engaging with our visitors, offering a warm welcome and the advice that can turn a good day out into a great one. We are looking for someone who has a passion for the outdoors and wants to help visitors get the most out of their visit. Someone who understands the work we are doing to help keep the Lakes special for everyone and can communicate that through stories to help the public understand who we are and what we do. What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll be moving around the park, chatting with our visitors and providing a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll ensure visitors have the information they need, share the work of the National Trust and grow support through promoting memberships and fundraising. The Welcome Team is also responsible for ensuring the site is presented to a high standard which includes litter picking, checking signage around the site and keeping the toilets cleaned and stocked, all helping to provide the best experience possible for our visitors. As this is an outdoors role, you'll need to be comfortable being on your feet and working in all weather conditions. This role will mainly be based at Fell Foot, but at busy times of year you will also be working at other nearby locations with prior arrangement.
