SHEQ / HSEQ / QHSE / COMPLIANCE MANAGER REQUIRED FROM A WASTE / RECYCLING INDUSTRY ENVIRONMENT
TITLE: SHEQ / HSEQ Manager - Safety & Environmental Compliance
SALARY: £Depending on Qualifications & Sector Experience, plus Benefits
LOCATION: Southeast Birmingham area
PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Health & Safety Manager, Environment & Quality Manager, QHSE / HSEQ Manager, Compliance Manager, SHEQ Business Partner, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
YOU WILL HAVE HAD COMPLIANCE EXPERIENCE IN: Waste Management, Recycling, Clinical waste, Hazardous waste, Metal Recycling, Organic Waste, Biomass, Waste Paper Recycling, Energy From Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Plastics Recycling.
ROLE: SHEQ / HSEQ Manager - Safety & Environmental Compliance
You will maintain for Health and Safety, Environment and Quality policy across all sites
Risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments – review, improve and maintain
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, and maintain accident statistics including root cause analysis.
Site Audits, training of staff, waste duty of care, compliance against site permits
You will deal with permitting and quality management systems
EXPERIENCE: SHEQ / HSEQ Manager - Safety & Environmental Compliance
You will have managed SHEQ at a management level and be able to demonstrate autonomy and self-motivation
You will have a NEBOSH General as a minimum. Qualifications that are beneficial: COTC / WAMITAB, NEBOSH Environmental, Environmental Degree
Any affiliations that would be desirable include TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH, IEMA as would any professional certification such as an MBA
ISO Management systems experience ideal
