It is an operational support and maintenance base, within the Navy Command TLB and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites. HMNB Clydes primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This is achieved by ensuring at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year. RNAD Coulport is responsible for the storage, processing, maintenance and issue of the Trident Weapon System and the ammunitioning of all submarine-embarked tactical weapons. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description The Clyde Security Organisation (CSyO) has grown in recent years, and is now looking to employ a Business Manager to support the team in the delivery of Security across HMNB Clyde. The successful candidate will be responsible for all business management and secretariat activities across CSyO, with specific tasks including; CSyO "Front Door" The successful post candidate will be responsible for establishing, and transitioning to business as usual, a "front door" process for CSyO to ensure all requests for Security tasking are logged, distributed, managed and closed in an efficient manner. The candidate will be required to work with CSyO colleagues and senior managers to implement this change and ensure it is fit for purpose and effective. Organisational Change The Business manager will lead on the production and maintenance of documentation in support of Organisational Change. This involves working closely with colleagues across the Naval Base to ensure CSyO remains compliant with the requirements of Nuclear Authorising Conditions and Nuclear Security Conditions to track changes to posts that may have in impact on Nuclear Security and Nuclear Safety. Health, Safety and Quality The Business Manager will be responsible for leading on all Health, Safety and Quality activities within CSyO, working with safety colleagues and external organisations to ensure we remain compliant with legislation and recognised standards. Finance The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all low-value purchasing activities within CSyO. Person specification The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate an ability to work autonomously to a high standard. They should be a self-starter who is able to priorities their workload and deliver across a range of activities concurrently. The following criteria is essential; Experience working with MS Office tools, including Teams, to improve information and workflow management. Experience in a business management or senior administration role with demonstrable transferable skills. Experience of working within a team to deliver against a diverse range of goals and objectives. The following criteria is desirable; Experience of working with management processes linked to organisational change (e.g. Nuclear Authorising Condition 36, Defence Security Condition 2 or equivalent). An understanding of office based health and safety practices.
