The Role:
As a Graduate EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments and related environmental services. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects across sectors such as energy, transport, water, and urban development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the coordination and preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Statements (ES) for major projects.
2. Conducting research, site visits, and baseline environmental assessments.
3. Supporting stakeholder engagement and consultation processes.
4. Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and environmental documentation.
5. Working collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
6. Keeping up to date with environmental legislation and best practices.
Requirements:
1. A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography, or a related field.
2. A strong understanding of EIA principles, UK environmental legislation, and planning policy.
3. Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks.
6. Some experience (e.g., through internships, university projects, or placements) in EIA or environmental consultancy is desirable but not essential.
