Cranleigh STEM & Sustainability have partnered with a leading consultancy dedicated to driving sustainability in the built environment. They are seeking a Senior Building Physics Consultant to join their growing team. The Role This role offers the opportunity to provide expert technical and strategic advice across a range of building physics services, including: Thermal Comfort & Overheating Assessments Building Regulations Compliance (SAP/SBEM) Thermal Bridging Analysis Energy Strategy and Energy Statements Daylight, Sunlight & Overshadowing Studies Internal Daylight Modelling Low and Zero Carbon (LZC) Feasibility Studies Operational Energy Modelling (TM54) You’ll work closely with design teams on high-profile projects, ensuring best practice in building physics and sustainability. Additionally, you’ll contribute to producing high-quality reports, managing key client accounts, and fostering long-term client relationships. Key Skills & Experience 3-5 years’ experience in the construction industry (e.g. sustainability consultancy, architecture, planning, M&E, or related fields) A relevant degree in Engineering, Physics, Maths, Sustainability, or a related discipline Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policies Experience with industry design software, including IES VE, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and CFD Familiarity with GLA planning requirements Experience in overheating/daylight assessments and thermal bridging analysis Proficiency in IES Apache HVAC for detailed energy modelling Experience using CAD software (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper) and Radiance/Ladybug tools If you’re looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking consultancy at the forefront of sustainable building design, this is your opportunity.
