DevOps Engineer
Location: Bracknell (BRA01) with hybrid home working possible (1 or 2 days / week)

Brief Overview
The role will involve working as part of a dedicated DevOps team responsible for the BAU delivery of the SPAAS service into the Home Office. It will entail activities associated with maintaining, configuring, developing, documenting, and supporting solutions and offerings on an exciting new project utilizing cutting-edge technologies and development methodologies. The work will include infrastructure automation, integration, testing, and operation with new feature development and support and maintenance. Working alongside a team of professionals, you will be driven to find better, faster, and more effective solutions.
The role will require support out of hours as part of regular on-call support for the platform as well as support to the LBO (Large Binary Object) Transfer and Scanning solution that is being transitioned into Service. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of this level of support as and when it is required, which will be agreed with the team lead.

Your experience
1. A demonstrable understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle
2. Experience working closely with IT Operations, IT Development, and IT Service teams to promote DevOps culture
3. Experience in working closely with customers
4. In-depth understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery, software configuration management, version control, and release management
5. Experience in provisioning cloud environments
6. Able to work under pressure
7. Availability to be on call out of hours on a rota basis
Technical Skills
You will have skills in a number of the below key technologies and have the desire to develop your understanding and skill further:
1. Elastic Stack (ELK/ECK)
2. Experience of ITIL and IT Management systems, such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
3. Automated testing tools
