Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft M365 Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing, optimizing, and supporting our organization's Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation and development of our Microsoft 365 environment including Licence Management, Exchange, Security and Compliance, Teams and Collaboration tools (OneDrive and SharePoint) and Endpoint Management via Intune, improving security and driving productivity, collaboration, and efficiency across the organization.
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft O365 Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing, optimizing, and supporting our organization's Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation of Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, driving productivity, collaboration, and efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring continuous improvements and efficiency.
* Assist in defining content migration strategies from network drives, OneDrive, and other systems to SharePoint Online.
* Enhance information security and governance in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 by implementing policies and labels for security and records management.
* Develop and optimize existing M365 services, researching and implementing new solutions aligned with business objectives and governance best practices.
* Contribute to information governance documentation and maintain IT and information asset registers.
* Manage user accounts, licenses, groups, distribution lists, and security roles in Microsoft 365 Admin Center for services like Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
* Oversee Teams policies, meeting settings, external access, and configure OneDrive and SharePoint Online for secure file sharing while ensuring proper governance and access control for collaboration tools.
* Drive user adoption through application support, training, and self-help materials, providing technical demonstrations and consultations.
* Leverage and develop M365 services such as Intune and Autopilot to enhance and secure end points and end user computing services.
* Operate within ITIL service management processes, including Change, Incident, Service Request, and Problem Management, ensuring smooth service operations.
* Maintain technical support relationships with suppliers for effective service delivery.
* Provide general application support across all business functions.
* Stay updated with emerging technologies and assess their potential benefits.
* Engage in continuous professional development to enhance expertise.
Demonstrated skills and competencies
Experience
* technical experience working within the enterprise segment of M365.
* experience with Office technologies such as Azure AD, OneDrive, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online and Intune.
* Strong understanding of designing to meet security principles and compliance requirements.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills across multiple platforms and systems.
* Demonstrable knowledge of migration best practices, including appropriate strategies and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications
* Degree Level education but not essential
Skills/Specialist knowledge
* Proficient in the Microsoft Modern workspace with enterprise mobility.
* Knowledgeable in Microsoft Azure for managing Office 365 tenants.
* Skilled in developing and delivering training sessions for end-users to optimize the use of Microsoft 365 tools, as well as creating and maintaining documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to address and resolve technical issues promptly
