Our client is a successful HealthTech scale-up, an SME currently at £6m turnover and c.70 staff, looking to double in size in the next five years under the leadership of a strong new CEO, recruited recently by its highly charismatic and driven owner.We are looking to strengthen companys Finance department, led by a well-established and experienced CFO, by appointing to a newly created Management Accountant position. Supporting the CFO, partnering the business and mentoring a small progressive team in the provision key financial information and insight, your main responsibilities asManagement Accountantwill include: Producing management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries Providing regular and adhoc management reporting and analysis for decision making Analysing financial information to assist business profitability and growth, working closely with the finance business partners to understand spend and to identify business risks and opportunities. Providing support and accounting guidance to business stakeholders, including leadership, Commercial, HR and Marketing. Planning, including preparation of budget and forecasts Balance Sheet Reconciliations, owning, monitoring and addressing reconciling items, identifying risks and opportunities Responding to Audit requests during the year end process Carrying out continuous reviews of work practices to ensure efficient and cost effective operations, suggesting improvements where possible Ensuring an appropriate internal control framework is in place to safeguard the business and ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations As Management Accountant youll need: Strong experience in a similar role such as Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Assistant Management Accountant or Finance Manager preferably in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, small to medium sized business.Tech and/or health experience/knowledge beneficial.
