Are you an experienced user of medical devices? Are you passionate about governance and patient safety?
We have a vacancy for a Medical Devices Coordinator, who will liaise with clinical staff on matters surrounding the life-cycle of medical devices, including specification and procurement, user training, safety alerts, and risk management.
You will need to be a registered Nurse or Midwife.
The role of Medical Devices Coordinator is varied, including activities such as conducting audits, delivering training, investigation of incidents involving medical devices, and processing medical device field safety notices.
You will coordinate between technical, clinical, and administrative teams, from a wide range of professional backgrounds, and therefore must have good communication and negotiation skills, as well as a drive towards problem-solving.
The work of the Medical Devices Governance Team involves capture and analysis of data using a range of software systems, so we are looking for someone who is good with technology, and not afraid to learn new skills.
The Medical Devices Governance Team is part of the expanding Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Department, which is raising its profile within the Trust and building networks with other Trusts and Universities. We are committed to providing a high quality, safe and effective service. We are able to offer opportunities for career development and progression within a vibrant, progressive and supportive team.
