Job Title: Performance Analyst - 2nd XI and Academy Reporting to: 1st XI Performance Analyst Location: Worcestershire County Cricket Club, New Road, Worcester, WR2 4QQ Contract term: April to September 2025, 6 month part time casual arrangement Background: Worcestershire County Cricket Club is one of the 18 major county cricket clubs which make up the England and Wales Cricket Board. Purpose of the Role: Worcestershire County Cricket Club is looking to appoint a 2nd XI & Academy Performance Analyst to join the Performance Analysis Team in the Elite Cricket Department. The successful candidate will lead on the set up, filming, coding and analysis of all home 2nd XI fixtures, while supporting us deliver our vision of being the premier destination for live sport, entertainment and hospitality in Worcestershire. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. To lead in the filming and coding of all home 2nd XI fixtures, as well as Academy and Tier 2 Women’s games where required. 2. To lead in the setup and maintenance of Worcestershire’s CCC’s video and analytical equipment and various 2nd XI grounds and fixtures, as well as Academy and Tier 2 Women’s games when required 3. To lead in analytical projects as required for the 2nd XI, Academy and Tier 2 Women’s players and coaching staff. 4. To provide post-match analysis of all 2nd XI home matches at the request of the coaching staff. 5. To film and analyse various training sessions and provide feedback to players and coaching staff. 6. To assist with the filming and coding of 1st XI home matches when required. 7. To maintain performance related databases to contribute to player selection. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Essential: · Excellent communication and organisational skills · Good time management · Excellent IT skills (preferably Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Windows Moviemaker/ iMovie) · Extensive knowledge of domestic cricket and international cricket Desirable: · Experience setting up cameras to capture live sport at a professional level. · Experience using PCS Pro · Experience using Data visualisation tools (Tableau/Power BI, R etc) · Fully clean driving license and access to a car. Personal Qualities · Team Player · A desire and proactivity to undertake projects. · A passion for cricket · Professional rapport with staff, flexibility/adaptability, and diplomacy · Ability to work under pressure Qualifications · Undergraduate qualification in a sports performance analysis or a relevant sports degree OR · Undergraduate qualification in a mathematics or statistics related degree OR · Relevant performance analysis experience You must have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to independently gain this by the start date in April 2025. Benefits Hours & Rate of Pay: This role is for the 2025 Cricket season and is due to start in April 2025. · Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work will be required. · This is a casual role, and no guarantee of hours is given. However, it is anticipated that this will be in the region of 40 to 60 days throughout the course of the season. · The rate of pay for this role will meet national minimum wage.
