We are looking to add to our accounting team, located at the Victoria Hyundai dealership. We are looking to hire an Accounting Clerk to process our car deals.
The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy, energetic individual with a desire to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
* Receiving and verifying invoices and requisitions.
* Balance and reconcile reports and statistics.
* Process all new and used vehicle sales.
* Processing of invoices according to standard operating procedures, ensuring payments are supported according to established payment policies.
* Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid.
* Process all cheque requisitions relating to deals.
* Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems.
* Review inventory schedules to ensure posting of service RO’s and vendor invoicing has been applied and accounted for.
* Ensure all transactions postings are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
* Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied transactions.
* Reconcile and process F & I product statements and communicate discrepancies.
* Other related accounting duties as required.
Qualifications:
* A college diploma in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting is preferred.
* Must be able to accurately calculate, post, correct and manage financial records.
* Able to perform account reconciliations.
* Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience in automotive accounting is considered an asset.
* Must have the legal right to work in Canada.
