Our client has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Business Development Manager to work remotely within the South East of England to secure new business for the company with a view to establishing a service centre through time. Key market sectors will include white goods, automotive, electronic goods, construction, machinery parts, furniture and associated sectors who utilise processed steel coil products. Alongside driving new business, there will be a requirement to maximise the revenue, profitability and tonnage of existing key accounts within the territory.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager from the steel industry with experience in carbon coil or strip mill products to join a market leader who can offer unrivalled promotional opportunities both in the UK and Europe.
Key Skill Set Include:
1. 4 - 5 years' experience within the Steel or Metals industry, Carbon Steel preferred
2. A proven track record in exceeding sales targets
3. The ability to generate and follow up leads
4. Excellent account management skills with the capacity to grow existing opportunities as well as hunt and win new business
5. Experience in selling into associated industries; White Goods, Manufacturing, Automotive, Shop Fittings, etc.
6. Appreciation of Carbon Steel grades, testing, coatings, with the ability to provide technical assistance to customers when required
7. Clear understanding of the manufacturing process
8. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build up rapport
9. Internal and External sales
