Technical Support - Melksham

We’re looking for a Goods-in Co-ordinator to look after the Goods-in area of the National Trust Distribution Centre (DC). You'll be part of the Technical Support Team of the DC and you'll assist other Team Members with varied daily tasks. Internally this role is known as ‘Technical Support - Goods-in Co Ordinator’.
What it's like to work here
Our small but dedicated team work closely together, using each other’s strengths and skills to manage the daily challenges that arise, dealing with each new delivery. No two days are the same, so this provides challenge and variety in a fast-paced continually evolving Distribution Centre. Your contractual location will be our Distribution Centre in Melksham and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 7am-3pm, you’ll report to the DC Technical Support Team Leader.
What you'll be doing
You’ll play a crucial role in managing deliveries to the National Trust Distribution Centre, making sure each delivery is accurate and necessary documentation is completed. You'll follow agreed processes to achieve our targets and make sure that all items are logged and stored promptly according to the set timelines. You'll work closely with other Team Members addressing any delivery-related issues and finding solutions together. You'll also look for ways to improve our delivery process and resolve any issues quickly. Your responsibilities will also include operating Reach and Counterbalance Fork Lift Trucks, as well as Powered Pallet Trucks, all while following Site Safety regulations.
Who we're looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
1. Knowledge of General Distribution Procedures, specifically relating to Goods-in
2. Knowledge of Quality Control Checking processes and dealing with suppliers when issues arise
3. Certification in the use of Reach and Counterbalance Fork Lift Trucks and Powered Pallet Trucks
4. Knowledge of Health & Safety
5. Competent IT skills, including Logistics Systems and Microsoft Office
6. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
7. Experience of working in a Warehouse/Distribution Centre environment
