Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and safety.
* Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
