The Vacancy
We have a brand-new opportunity for an entry level Claims Handler to join our growing team here in Guiseley. This is a key role that will be responsible for supporting the administration of insurance claims made by clients and help us to provide excellent customer service in line with FCA and Company guidelines.
Key areas of responsibility include
* Supporting with the administration of all classes of commercial and personal lines claims
* Supporting the Claims Handlers with the case management of claims including but not limited to Motor, Household, Travel, Public Professional, Employers Liability, GIT, and Directors & Officers liability.
* Creating new claims files upon notification of a new claim and record it accurately using IT software.
* Helping the business to ensure that claims are processed quickly and correctly, working on behalf of the client/customer and liaising with Insurers as appropriate.
* Ensuring all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices and Guides to Best Practice
What we’re looking for
Ideally you will have come from a claims administration background, however if you have strong customer service and administration skills and are keen to pursue a career within the insurance industry, then this would be an ideal opportunity.
To be successful in the role, you must have the following skills.

* Good IT skills with the ability to write courteous and accurate correspondence.
* Keen interest in the insurance industry / financial services
* The ability to work to a high level of accuracy and detail.
* The ability to prioritise and follow processes effectively.
* Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers.
