As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Recruitment Specialist to lead the sourcing, hiring, and onboarding of skilled nurses and carers. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients receive consistent, safe, and compassionate care from a high-quality workforce. About the Role The Nurse and Carer Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process for healthcare staff, from talent sourcing to onboarding. You will work closely with the operational team and leadership to ensure that the business has a robust pipeline of qualified nurses and carers to deliver outstanding care services. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting and sourcing candidates to interviews, compliance checks, and onboarding. Sourcing Talent: Actively source skilled nurses (RGNs, RMNs, RCNs) and carers using platforms such as job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach. Candidate Screening: Review CVs, conduct interviews, and assess candidate suitability for specific roles in complex care. Compliance Management: Ensure all candidates meet CQC standards and regulatory requirements, including right-to-work checks, DBS checks, and professional registrations. Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified healthcare professionals to meet staffing needs across all active care packages. Collaboration: Work closely with the operational team, care managers, and senior leadership to identify recruitment priorities and allocate resources effectively. Job Advertising: Write engaging job advertisements and ensure they are published across appropriate platforms to attract high-quality candidates. Data Management: Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to support reporting and planning. Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with candidates, acting as their key point of contact throughout the recruitment process. Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps and recommend improvements to streamline recruitment processes and enhance candidate experience. Skills and Experience Required Recruitment Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in healthcare recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally recruiting nurses and carers. Knowledge of Healthcare Compliance: Familiarity with CQC standards, DBS checks, and right-to-work processes. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders effectively. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proactive Mindset: A results-driven, solution-oriented individual who can source talent proactively and deliver against targets. IT Proficiency: Experience using ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job boards such as Indeed or Reed. Relationship Builder: A people person who can build and maintain strong candidate and internal stakeholder relationships. Desirable Skills Experience recruiting for complex care, domiciliary care, or nursing roles. Understanding of clinical roles such as RGN, RMN, and care support roles.
