We have an amazing opportunity for a trainee band 7 Advanced Practitioner to join the Out Of Hours Service.
Advanced Clinical Practice should be delivered by experienced registered health and care practitioners. It is a level of practice characterised by a high level of autonomy and complex decision making. This is underpinned by a Masters level award or equivalent that encompasses the four pillars of practice:
1. Clinical practice
2. Leadership and management
3. Research
4. Education
What we are looking for:
5. Relevant courses at level 7 or equivalent in Advanced Physical Assessment skills, Minor Illness, disease management, etc.
6. A non-medical prescribing qualification (desirable).
7. Evidence of continued professional development.
8. Satisfactory DBS clearance.
9. Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations.
10. Ability to triage.
11. Good understanding of autonomous practice within community services including prevention of hospital admission.
Main duties of the job
In addition to standard nursing/ therapeutic duties, the post holders will be:
12. Accountable for clinical governance and leadership within the service.
13. Expected to work across organisational and professional boundaries.
14. Develop effective partnerships with stakeholders.
15. Implementing evidence-based practice is inherent throughout all aspects of care delivery and treatment, to ensure this knowledge is disseminated throughout the service.
Practice at a high level in assessing and diagnosing patients with a range of clinical presentations within the scope of community urgent, and OOH care.

Essential
20. Professional registration with registered body NMC, HCPC, GPhC with significant post-registration experience relevant to role
21. MSc Advanced Practice and NHSE Digital Badge or evidence to support Professional clinical knowledge that covers all 4 pillars (as above) of the Advanced Clinical Practice capabilities (including physical assessment and physiological reasoning qualifications at Masters level) and ability to undertake supported e-Portfolio Route to gain NHSE Digital Badge
22. Recognised teaching / supervisor or coaching qualification or relevant experience
23. Registered as an independent prescriber with the relevant registered body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC etc)

25. Skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice, to include newborns, paediatrics and end of life care
26. Significant post registration (the multi-rofessional framework for advanced clinical practice in England suggests 5 years) experience where autonomous working at an advanced level has been acquired in the speciality area or a related area where advanced skills could be transferable
27. Managerial and clinical leadership experience within a large multidisciplinary organisation Proven track record of teaching and assessing.
28. Experience working in Urgent/ Primary/ Acute care in a community setting
