If you are enthusiastic about road safety for children, you may be the person we are looking for to help achieve Darlingtonandrsquo;s casualty reduction targets.
You should enjoy working with children and will be expected to work flexibly, on a casual basis, during school term time, to assist with developing, executing and co-ordinating our established pedestrian training programme.
We usually run a 3 week programme for each group of children receiving the training during the school day. The morning sessions are usually 2 hours, and each afternoon session is 1.5 hours per day and the total number of hours that may be offered to you would depend on your availability and the training taking place. You would need to be available for at least 2 days each week of the 3 week programme.
You will be confident and outgoing, with good communication skills. Full training will be provided giving guidance and advice on delivering the programme.
The role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) at the enhanced children level.
