About the role
This is a flexible role based out of our Bebside HWRC, Blyth, Northumberland but will also be required to work at other sites in the region such as Wooler and North Sunderland.
1. Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of material deposited in the sites.
2. Maintaining accurate records for the removal of material from the site and of all activities on the site.
3. Controlling the exchange of containers, by booking loads with the relevant person thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
4. Maintaining a tidy site
5. Undertaking first aider duties and fire warden duties on site
6. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence/permit and who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days. The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment. Having basic administration skills for the recording of data on SUEZ R & R UK’s reporting systems will also be advantageous. Must be able to drive and have own transport.
