A new opportunity for a Supply Chain Consultant on a part-time basis for a fantastic international food manufacturer has become available at our client based specialising in Asian Cuisine.
Job Role
Lead and manage all supply chain and warehouse activities across the business while forming close working relationships with external stakeholders, developing a solid 3PL solution for importing goods. Lead the transformation of the supply chain and warehouse operation in line with or ahead of the demands of the business.
Responsibilities
• To control all the stocks (raw materials, finished goods and factored goods) liaising with international manufacturers through effective management of the stock distribution; including stock held at 3PL
• To plan effectively to ensure a constant supply of raw materials, finished manufactured goods
and factored goods through a self-produced and published stock report to meet the requirements of the sales and production plan for the business
• To investigate errors and stock discrepancies and implement changes to improve overall
efficiencies
• To order raw materials and factored goods to ensure on time delivery and meet the production
plan and sales plan
• To monitor and report on the effects of price variances on the business for all raw materials
sourced and report on all usage variances
• Manage all the raw materials and factored goods required by the company to meet the
production and sales plans
• Manage the efficiency and costs of import of goods using 3PL
• Manage the efficiency and costs of 3PL including storage and transport aiming to
reduce errors and maintain stock integrity
• To set up, manage and own the stock control system, production planning system and all
associated reporting systems
• Ensure regular stock checks to maintain stock integrity and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensuring health and safety is a priority at all times
Personal Profile
• Must have previous management experience in Supply Chain and Logistics
• Must have experience managing 3rd party storage, couriers and hauliers
• PC literate with good Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Good communicator through face to face, email and phone
• Organised and systematic
• Experienced working with MRP / ERP systems
• Accurate and pragmatic
