LV Package Manager (Electrical) Newport Permanent Salary Benefits package We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Low Voltage Package Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all low voltage electrical systems for our construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of low voltage systems, including data cabling, fire alarm systems, security systems, and audio-visual installations, and have a proven track record of managing complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for low voltage electrical systems. Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks. Review and interpret low voltage system designs, schematics, and blueprints. Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, client specifications, and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC). Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle Source and evaluate vendors and subcontractors specializing in low voltage systems. Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines. Oversee the work of subcontractors and provide technical guidance as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding low voltage package updates. Prepare detailed cost estimates and monitor expenditures. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety. Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability. Provide technical training and updates on emerging low voltage technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in managing low voltage electrical systems, with 5 years in a similar role. Strong knowledge of systems such as Structured cabling, Fire alarms, Access control and security systems / Audio-visual systems Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and electrical design tools. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, BICSI standards). Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Certifications: BICSI RCDD, CTS, or similar low voltage system certifications.
