Role: Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Critical Care)
London: The Harley Street Clinic, London
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (9am-5pm Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive depending on Experience plus £5,000 Golden Hello (T & C’s Apply)
Other Info: On-call and Weekend shifts required (frequency of on-calls is 1 in every 10-12 weeks & frequency of weekend shifts are 1 per month)
We’re looking for a Senior Specialist Pharmacist with Cardiology and Critical Care experience to join our team at HCA at The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
Based in London’s medical district, our hospital is accessible and is considered an employer of choice. Our pharmacy team delivers an exceptional patient-centred service across our world-renown campus that house several centres of excellence from Cardiac to Diagnostics to Complex Oncology.
The post holder will be working with specialist consultants, ward managers and nursing teams providing a clinical pharmacy service in supporting acutely unwell patients. You will ensure that safe and effective systems are in place for the use of medicines. You will help drive the medicines optimisation agenda forward through audit, research and innovation to ensure patients receive the very best pharmaceutical care tailored to their needs.
As a Senior Specialist Pharmacist, you’ll work across both our inpatients and outpatient areas, using your expertise to provide support and advice to our multi-disciplinary teams. You will also be able to grow your career as you will be exposed to advanced care pathways by leading Cardiac Consultants and other members of the MDT team. As a hospital based Specialist Pharmacist, you will work within our wards and dispensary to provide the best possible support and counselling to both inpatients and outpatients. In return you will become part of a network of peers who will support you with your learning and development through the opportunity to gain an Independent Prescribing Course

What you’ll bring:
1. Registered with GPhC
2. Post graduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
3. Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in specialties including cardiovascular & critical care
4. Extensive hospital clinical pharmacy practice experience, including some of above specialties
