Duties and responsibilities
Working as part of this large and well established supportive team you can expect to assist patients undergoing a variety of elective procedures.
1. Prepare patients for surgery and reassure them
2. Review patient charts and confirm data
3. Ensure medical equipment needed for surgery is available
4. Follow surgeon's directions
5. Pass medical equipment/s to the surgeon
6. Monitor patient's condition during surgery
7. Work according to rota - Monday - Saturday between 07.30 - 20.00
Who we're looking for
An interest in development and progression is encouraged and reinforced, offering the opportunity to complete the surgical first assist course and specialise within the surgical areas on offer.
8. Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner
9. Previous orthopaedic experience would be advantageous, but not essential as we're happy to train
10. Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision
11. HCPC or NMC registration
