Macildowie are excited to be working with a well-established business based in Coalville to recruit a Payroll Assistant on a permanent basis.
Salary: Up to £32,000
Location: Coalville (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office)
Working Hours: Full-time
The Role
As a Payroll Assistant, you will support the payroll function to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Responsibilities include:
* Processing payroll transactions, including starters, leavers, and salary changes
* Managing HMRC submissions and ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, and pensions
* Handling employee payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy
* Assisting with monthly reporting, reconciliations, and data validation
* Working with payroll software to input and verify payroll data
* Supporting the year-end process, including P60s, P11Ds, and RTI submissions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous payroll experience within a finance or HR function
* Knowledge of HMRC legislation, PAYE, NI, and pension contributions
* Experience using payroll systems such as Sage, ADP, Workday, or iTrent
* Strong Excel skills and an analytical approach to data
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
