Senior QA Automation Engineer - 55k - 65k
Dundalk, Ireland - Hybrid
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be reporting to the Team Lead and working with the Automation Team. You will help by supporting them as they write integration, end-to-end and unit testing. You would be responsible for producing testing frameworks for new projects and developing regression test suites for any existing projects that we may have.
Your responsibilities:
Create and manage the product's test automation strategy as needed, continuously improving and adjusting it in accordance with industry best practices.
Independently create scripts to provide automation testing for back-end processing systems, front-end web-based GUIs, and APIs using automation frameworks.
Assist other team members with automation by offering technical support.
Implement your automation plan, establish and oversee automation KPIs, and promote process enhancements.
Teach junior SDETS to follow the overall testing strategy and best practices for test automation.
Promote and put into place enterprise-wide procedures and standards that facilitate automated process improvement throughout the SDLC.
In line with the strategic tactics, in charge of maintaining the current automation scripts.
Create and manage automated reporting and dashboards, and help define measurable testing metrics.
Work together with the worldwide SQA team.
Your experiences should include:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, focusing on automation testing.
Experience working on one or more frameworks (that includes Selenium, ReadyAPI, Power Automate).
Proficiency with Azure DevOps, creating and maintaining automation pipelines and releases.
Experienced in performing test automation code reviews, identifying targets for automation, and recommending automation best practices.
Experienced with automating UI, APIs, web services, and back-end processes.
Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, especially in relation to automation testing.
Sound understanding of Agile Scrum principles.
Troubleshooting experience in a Windows environment, both client and servers.
Adaptable: Adjusting to different time zones and managing different projects simultaneously is part of the role. Adapting to changing priorities and requirements is key.
Nice to haves:
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams globally is preferred.
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus but not required.
