Warehouse Driver/Escort/Forklift Operator Role Overview - We are seeking a dependable and security-focused Driver/Escort/Forklift Operator for a 3-month contract within a regulated environment. This role involves a variety of tasks, including the safe transport of goods and personnel, secure escort duties within restricted areas, and skilled forklift operation for material handling, all while ensuring adherence to strict security protocols and operational standards. The ideal candidate will be motivated, with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and security, and will quickly integrate into our team for this temporary position. Up to £16.00 p/h PAYE Up to £21.17 p/h Umbrella On site Brize Norton 40 hours per week Must have experience of loading and driving a 3.5 tonne van. Responsibilities Follow all documented Quality System procedures when performing operational duties Process material orders and movements in the correct priority sequence Unload and handle items in accordance with logistics and operational guidelines Ensure proper execution of pick, pack, and handling system transactions Organize printed documents before packing and closing boxes Confirm physical movements in the system and ensure proper documentation is linked with parts when needed Store stock in designated locations after picking or packing Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times Continuously seek opportunities to improve work quality Inform the Manager/Team Leader of any process or system issues promptly Assist with various ad hoc requests from Warehouse Management Work across various warehouse functions (inbound, outbound, repairs) Support receiving and other warehouse activities as needed Conduct stock checks when requested Adhere to all company policies, including safety regulations and operational standards Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Be adaptable to shifting priorities and responsibilities Assist with other tasks as needed by the supervisor Be vigilant about Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control Complete the 3-month contract with professionalism and a high level of performance Quickly adapt to the company's processes and procedures Potentially assist with training and transitioning responsibilities to permanent staff.Driving Duties Safely operate company vehicles (3.5T vans and forklifts), following all traffic laws and company policies Transport personnel and materials to specified locations within the facility or off-site as required Conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance issues promptly Assist with loading and unloading vehiclesEscort Duties Escort personnel and visitors within secure areas, ensuring compliance with security and safety protocols Provide clear instructions to escorted personnelForklift Operation Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the facility Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues Ensure correct storage and handling of materials, adhering to safety guidelines and weight limits Assist in loading and unloading aircraft parts and componentsSkill Set Essential: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must have Current SC clearance. Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain certification) Proven experience in driving, transportation, and forklift operation Experience with escort or security duties in a regulated environment is highly desirable Ability to maintain a security clearance Knowledge of relevant regulations and their application to material handling Ability to operate various vehicles and material handling equipment Understanding of safety regulations and procedures, especially within a regulated environment Familiarity with traffic laws, regulations, and security protocols Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team while adhering to strict security guidelines High attention to detail, accuracy, and security awareness Capability to lift and move heavy objects Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and security vetting Ability to read and interpret maps, directions, and technical documents Experience in material support or supply chain roles Willingness to work flexible shifts, including night shifts Proficiency in warehouse management systems (SAP SP1, SAP ESP, Airnnav, Microsoft Excel, etc.) Forklift license or experience operating a forklift or reach truck preferred Service-minded with strong multitasking, organizational, and teamwork skills Proficiency in English, both spoken and written Commitment to compliance and acting with integrity to support the company's success and reputation Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations
