Randstad C&P are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on an education scheme for a leading, established contractor in the Cornwall region. The job is working on an exciting education new build scheme, and will involve running that project for 12 months before being based out of their Head Office in the Bristol Area. As such the business are open to candidates based in Bristol who would travel down, in addition to candidates based locally to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, ensuring the effective allocation of the £5 million budget across various project components.
2. Work closely with local authorities, schools, teachers, parents, and students to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
3. Assemble and lead a diverse team of educators, contractors, and administrative staff to deliver the project objectives.
4. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project stays on track and within budget.
5. Use project management tools to monitor progress, maintain quality standards, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
6. Ensure all project deliverables are met to the highest standards and conduct a thorough evaluation upon project completion.
Qualifications and Experience:
7. Proven experience in project management, preferably within the education sector or a similar field.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills.
9. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
10. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asta Project).
11. Budget management experience, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
12. Knowledge of educational standards and regulations is highly desirable.
