About the Company:
We're partnered with a well-established and forward-thinking property developer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes. Known for their collaborative culture and long-term project pipeline, they're now looking to expand their commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based near Milton Keynes.
About the Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple developments. You'll be working closely with internal departments, external consultants, and subcontractors to ensure the successful financial delivery of projects from inception through to completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee all commercial activities across designated projects
* Manage procurement processes, tendering, and contract administration
* Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting
* Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control procedures are followed
* Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and consultants to resolve commercial issues
* Prepare and negotiate final accounts
* Provide commercial input during design development and value engineering stages
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior level
* Developer or main contractor background
* Strong understanding of residential or mixed-use developments
* Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
