Class Act Teaching Services are working with a Secondary School in Abingdon who are looking for an ICT Teacher to start as soon as possible. The position will initially be a temporary one but the school is looking to make this ICT Teacher position permanent, from the start of the new academic year but this could potentially be sooner for an ICT Teacher who is able to embody the school values.
This Secondary School has continued to be graded ‘Good’ under the former Ofsted ratings for schools and strives to instil skills in their students that they can take outside the classroom. They encourage students to seize opportunities as they arise so they can aim high and succeed.
ICT Teacher Role:
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 ICT curriculum
* Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
* Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
* Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
* Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
* Compliance with the school’s policies and the reliable implementation of these
ICT Teacher Requirements:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching at the secondary level.
* Have recent experience teaching ICT in a mainstream secondary school setting.
* Exhibit strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
* A degree in ICT or Computer Science is preferred.
* Experience working with SEND students is advantageous.
£30000 - £55000 per year PAYE - based on experience
