Family Solicitor – 2yr+ PQE - East Sussex
Our highly regarded client is currently seeking a Solicitor to join their Family Team based along the East Sussex Coast.
The client is a leading East Sussex law firm with in-depth local knowledge, around 100+ staff within 5 offices; offering a wide range of legal help and advice to private individuals, families & businesses.
The team handles a variety of cases, including:
* Finance: High-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth financial remedy matters, including trusts, non-marital assets, business structures, pensions, and inherited wealth.
* Family Agreements: Pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and securing “mirror” agreements in other jurisdictions.
* Non-court Dispute Resolution: The team includes collaboratively trained lawyers and mediators, promoting non-court dispute resolution.
* Accord Scheme: Launched in October 2022, this scheme allows clients who are not in conflict to instruct the same lawyer for divorce or separation, streamlining the process.
* Modern Families: Advising on cohabitation agreements, financial remedy applications for cohabitants, and surrogacy matters.
* Child Abduction: Members of the ICACU panel, handling complex and distressing cases of child abduction with expertise.
* Private Children Law Disputes: Undertaking complex disputes, always striving for the best outcomes through a constructive and non-confrontational approach.
Requirement:
* A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Family Law.
* Familiarity with complex financial matters and children disputes, often with an international focus, is highly desirable.
* Estimated suitability for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
* Experience or interest in marketing and business development activities.
* Commitment to the Resolution Code of Practice.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure, adopt a proactive approach, and adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong communication skills, a passion for helping clients, and creative thinking.
* Willingness to work in a flexible, hybrid environment, with both home and office-based working.
