Domestic Assistant,
Hopwood Court Day Services
B Grade. 23,656 – 24,027
20 Hours
The aim of Hopwood Court Day Service Provision is to work with people of the Borough, with complex needs, including persons with Learning and/or Physical disabilities, autism, advanced dementia, and young people transitioning into Adult Services, enabling people to live to a maximum level of independence and remain in their own home.
We are currently recruiting Domestic Assistants who will complement our team to deliver a high-quality service.
As a Domestic Assistant, you will be very much part of the wider Adult Social Care Team.
The Domestic Assistants undertake a range of tasks as needed to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
The successful candidate will need to be:
* Enthusiastic about cleanliness and able to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
* Able to work well under pressure.
* Have a “can do” approach.
* Have experience of general cleaning duties.
* Experience in the use of cleaning machinery.
* Have knowledge of COSHH.
* Have knowledge of health and safety.
* Have knowledge of infection control.
It would be advantageous to have some experience of working in a setting with vulnerable adults, but it is not essential.
It is crucial that we get the right person, with the right skills, behaviours, core values, and attributes to contribute to the success of our service.
While we acknowledge that the work is fast-paced and challenging, it is also very rewarding. We want to ensure we get the right person, so it is important that you tell us about your skills and experience in your application form.
* Excellent working conditions
* Inclusion in the pension scheme
* Access to the Employee Wellbeing Services
* Annual leave
* Bank Holidays
* Individual continuous professional development to support progression
* Strong and supportive management team
* Team-based learning opportunities
If you have what it takes, we really want to hear from you.
