Human Capital Partners are working with a market leading finance company to recruit the Accounting Assistant. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for working as a junior Finance Business Partner partnering with colleagues in both finance and the wider company. Candidates will be ACCA/CIMA or AAT part qualified or be Qualified by Experience. The successful candidate will have no less than 2 years’ experience gained in a finance role. Experience gained in a Financial Services organisation is ideal but not essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Assisting with the preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments, revenue and expenses processes. Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, including and related workings and reconciliations. Preparing the workings and backup for the posting of selected routine journal entries. Responsibility for the reconciliation of specific General Ledger accounts allocated to this role, including Suspense accounts. Assisting on a minimum bi-monthly rota basis with the Manual Payments process. Assisting with the preparation of delegated sections of the annual financial statements. Assisting with the preparation of information for responses to external audit requests. Assisting with the preparation of Regulatory and other periodic returns. Assisting with ad hoc accounting projects as required. Preparing and assisting with various periodic financial and management information reports. Assisting with the preparation of other ad hoc financial and management information reports. Assisting with the preparation of financial analyses.
