The project:
A great opportunity for a change expert with a background in consulting or large-scale transformation delivery to join our expanding change and transformation team within Mace advisory. We set up clients for success by bringing our global learning and expertise to inform the development, mobilisation and delivery of projects and programmes.
Part of our advisory services centre of excellence, the change and transformation team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of work with both property and infrastructure clients across the globe.
To support our growth, we are seeking an operations director with broad change and transformation experience to complement our current team, offering expertise in structuring and delivering change across a variety of sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Influencing strategic development & executes strategy to achieve vision across function and/or teams.
* Setting priorities and providing input into execution plan in the achievement of departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Leading multiple commission teams to achieve agreed outputs, taking a leadership role working across multiple organisations and sectors on a global footprint.
* Holding full accountability for the performance of portfolio of commissions and/or service lines.
* Accountable for business development and work winning, bringing together appropriate capabilities and resourcing to fulfil current and future client needs.
* Maintaining, cultivating and establishing a strong collaborative network, developing partnerships with key senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Leading the implementation of systematic performance improvement cycle to continually improve the quality of portfolio of commissions and/or service lines.
* Owning and driving the provision of technical expertise for more than one capability (e.g. financial modelling, business case, transformation, stakeholder management etc).
* Business ownership for client relationship management activities.
* Accountable for the recruitment, resourcing and retention delegated by the business unit director.
* Sponsoring the leading of corporate or value adding area/s e.g. regional liaison, EDI network liaison across Mace Consult to proactively drive priorities set by the consult leadership team.
* Promoting the positive outcomes from advisory work to executive level internal and external stakeholders.
* Creating thought leadership and marketing collateral to advise potential clients of the value of engaging advisory services.
* Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You will need to have:
* Experience in leading the development and delivery of complex change and transformation programmes.
* Developing high-performing multi-disciplinary teams, working across programmes to provide change expertise, development and guidance.
* Effective communication and engagement skills with the ability to translate complex topics to accessible and compelling language.
* Managing benefits development and delivery across complex stakeholder environments on major programmes.
* Providing visible change leadership and coaching/delivery support to engagements.
* Expertise in aspects of change management and transformation (e.g. Operating model/organisation development/skills transfer etc.).
* Providing appropriate skills and support to business development - developing new business opportunities and working to support a range of bid activities.
* In-depth knowledge of one or more property and infrastructure sectors (e.g., Aviation, Rail, Roads, Healthcare, Nuclear, Utilities, Energy Transition).
You will also have:
* A leader with specialism in aspects of change and transformation, evidenced through professional qualifications and delivery experience in a consulting/advisory practice.
* A self-starter with a passion for change and a sense of adventure. A flexible, team player who brings a wealth of other consultancy skills across major project and programme delivery.
* A passion for sharing knowledge, upskilling colleagues and supporting the development of more junior staff.
Mace is committed to inclusion and these positions are available on a full and part time basis with agile working from home and our Manchester or Central London offices. Some domestic and international travel and relevant security clearances will be required.
