Duration: 12 months contract, extendable up to 24 months

Job Description:
The Data Scientist-R Shiny developer will contribute to the development of Data Analytics, Visualization, Reporting, and Statistical Analysis utilizing mainly R-Shiny. Specifically, the Data Scientist will create visualizations, dashboards, R Shiny reports, and data pipelines that integrate many types of data to create comprehensive visualizations and report-ready outputs.
Notes:
Role will be Remote, will need to work Eastern Time Zone work hours.
Potential title of role: R Data Scientist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Must have 2 years of experience with R Programming.
Experience in developing Shiny applications.
Familiarity with R Shiny - interface, programming, interacting piece of work.
Python would be helpful, but not required.
Bitbucket is used in this role.

Competencies Requirements:
An R-Shiny developer is required with the ability to prioritize work independently to meet deadlines while managing changing priorities to meet customers' needs. Work independently on projects that will be both strategic and tactical in nature. Ability to provide strategic direction using innovation and creative solutions. Use effective internal/external influencing, interpersonal skills, negotiation, and conflict management skills to resolve relationship and project issues.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or Data Science.
2. R Shiny developer skills as a core competency.
3. 2+ years' experience developing data analytics applications using R.
4. Prior experience in Statistics or Data Science.
5. Programming knowledge in scripting in R is required for data manipulation and analysis.
6. Familiarity with testing procedures such as PQ/OQ, source data verification, UATs and unit testing is desirable.
7. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
8. Can work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
9. Strong oral and written communication skills.
10. Additional technical competencies in Jira, Bitbucket, and other information technology systems are highly desirable.
