The role – what is it we would like you to do?
Currie & Brown is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Senior Project Manager to join our growing team in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals eager to advance their careers and take on new challenges in a supportive and growth-focused environment.
Your core duties will involve:
1. Project managing the design and construction phases of various projects.
2. Liaise with multiple stakeholders from the client and customer teams.
3. Maintaining effective communication with project teams.
4. Providing support to the project management team leader, working as a proactive team player.
5. Managing and developing a team including setting objectives and priorities for team members.
6. Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Assist with the development and long-term strategic growth of the project management team through business development, networking and bidding.
8. Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships.
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:
1. Technical delivery experience gained within the construction industry.
2. Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills.
3. Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
4. A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible.
5. BSc in construction management, architecture, building surveying or equivalent.
6. Experience in the education sector environment would be advantageous.
7. Experience of fit-out projects.
8. Risk management qualifications or experience.
