Description Canopius is a global specialty lines (re)insurer. We are one of the top 10 insurers in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market with offices in the UK, US, Singapore, Australia and Bermuda. Procurement & Outsourcing (P&O) is a centralised Group function. Canopius uses a range of external vendors, experts and outsourcing partners. The P&O function is seeking a motivated and ambitious Procurement Operations Assistant, who will support the Procurement team with implementing and embedding a best-in-class, sourcing, onboarding and supplier management department. Responsibilities This role will support the wider procurement team with the end-to-end procurement process. This includes but not limited to, triaging contract requests to the relevant procurement manager, monitoring active tickets, chasing relevant stakeholders, supporting finalisation and signature of contracts. Responsible for processing purchase orders and hardware requests. Responsible for Procurement & Outsourcing systems & data, including production of key management information and reporting. Including board risk material supplier report and dashboard Monitor and manage the team mailbox Provide a weekly report to Head of P&O on the status of all active tickets Provide support to procurement team when running RFPs. Support the production of category reports and attend business partner review meetings with procurement managers. Support Head of P&O with relationship management of outsourcing partner and other critical suppliers. Manage day-to-day operational interaction with suppliers and stakeholders Liaison with Accounts payable ensuring Canopius procure to pay processes are adhered to. Assure compliance with regulatory requirements in all procurement activities, keep up to date with laws and legislative changes that impact the group Support development of the wider procurement agenda and help support other members of the procurement team across other business units. Ability to stand in when team members are on leave Qualifications Candidates must have end to end Procurement experience across multiple categories.
