We have partnered with a dynamic and forward-thinking firm with a commitment to providing excellent accountancy and business services to a diverse client base. Our cleint are now looking to recruit a talented Business Services Assistant Manager to their growing team and play a key role in servicing clients, managing a team, and supporting the delivery of high-quality accountancy services.
The Role:
As a Business Services Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of services within our Business Services Department, which is split into two key divisions: Outsourcing (bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT services) and Limited Company Services (the preparation of Limited Company Financial Statements). This position primarily focuses on Limited Company Services.
You will work closely with the partner to ensure the smooth delivery of services, manage client relationships, and provide guidance and support to the team. The role will also involve working on larger projects and managing your own portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Development & Knowledge: Maintain and develop technical expertise by attending relevant webinars, conducting independent research, and staying updated on technical developments. Present your findings on challenging technical issues.
Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a highly effective team. Guide the team to perform work efficiently and diligently, ensuring high standards are met.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and managing client relationships professionally. Be an ambassador for the firm and raise awareness of opportunities.
Financial Oversight: Review and assess work in progress (WIP) regularly, addressing overruns as needed. Raise bills promptly and ensure billing processes are followed.
Support & Development: Provide timely feedback to the team, helping to develop their skills and supporting less experienced members. Be an approachable resource for team members' queries.
Client Billing & Fees: Work closely with the Partner in the planning and execution of client assignments. Suggest appropriate fees and ensure timely billing of services.
