People Assistant Salary Up to £29,000 Location: Central base Epsom, involves frequent travel to other sites Hours: 40 Job Purpose This role is primarily working with the day-to-day HR needs of Fennies Day Nurseries. You will have excellent IT and administrative skills, together with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, in line with clear policies and procedures. High attention to detail and accuracy is also a must for this position. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, are also essential, together with the ability to be proactive and to use your own initiative. Main Duties Be the first point of contact for employees and managers on all HR related queries for your region, providing advice, guidance and coaching to Managers and colleagues across the Company on ER and people matters. Supporting Nursery Managers on performance, attendance, disciplinary, and grievance matters Administer & manage HR related documentations such as change letters, new contracts, acceptance of resignations. Manage the probation process ensuring Nursery Managers know when review meetings need to take place Maintaining HR-related spreadsheets/systems and data and using this data to create dashboards Continuously developing professional knowledge and skills by keeping up to date with external trends and best practices in HR & Recruitment Maintaining accurate and efficient filing systems, including retention and updating of employee files to ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment across the business. Work closely with your allocated sites and the payroll team to ensure payroll is processed correctly for individuals.
