Working 1:1, you’ll tailor sessions to their unique needs and interests, sparking curiosity and confidence. Let’s give every child the fresh start they deserve. Contract and Responsibilities: This is a bank staff contract for short-term provisions (6-12 weeks) - flexible work around your schedule. You will be required to plan and deliver inspirational sessions to your student, empowering them and bringing them hope. Sessions will take place in the student's home or an alternative location, risk assessed and approved by Fresh Start. You will need: Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working with vulnerable children or young people with additional needs (SEN, SEMH needs and other barriers to learning) Experience delivering or supporting literacy and numeracy Consistent availability to commit to a minimum of 2 sessions per week (a minimum of 2 working days). A commitment to keeping children and young people safe and a practical and up to date knowledge of safeguarding The benefits: Additional £15 per session available to use for resources and activities. At Fresh Start in Education we specialise in the re-engagement of students who have been excluded from school or are out of education. This includes students who are at risk of exclusion or have already been permanently or temporarily excluded, school refusers, young offenders, those with emotional or behavioural difficulties, serious health issues or those who are generally disengaged from education. We work with all ages from early years through to adult. We provide bespoke, child-centred, high-quality education programmes, ensuring that all the students that we work with have outstanding opportunities to re-integrate into regular or specialist education. We provide the encouragement and tools for students to develop and apply the knowledge, skills, and understanding that will help them become successful at learning, confident as individuals, and to live productive and responsible lives.
