What you'll do
In this role as a Senior Payroll Practitioner, you will be an integral part of the Payroll Operations team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely production and administration of Payroll services. Reporting to one of the C4 Payroll Operations Team Leaders, your primary responsibility will be to deliver transactional input, either directly or indirectly, to enable Payroll processing. This includes performing validations and reviews of remote input to the payroll system, responding to error and warning messages, executing data uploads, validating and inputting payroll-related data, undertaking post-pay run error recycle activities, processing pay corrections, and maintaining and processing loan requests. Your expertise in payroll service delivery, statutory compliance, and company policies will be essential, as well as your ability to develop an expert understanding of the myHR Payroll system. Furthermore, you will build strong relationships with wider HR teams, suggest improvements to processes and procedures, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Overall, your contribution will ensure the delivery of high-quality payroll services to the business, playing a crucial role in the accurate and efficient processing of payroll transactions.
Who you are
As a Senior Payroll Practitioner, you are a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of all aspects of payroll service delivery, including statutory compliance, company policies, and authorisation procedures. With your expertise in using the myHR Payroll system and calculating pay and deductions accurately, you play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely production and administration of payroll services. Your strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures within the Sainsbury's Group, along with your ability to build relationships and collaborate with wider HR teams, enables you to provide a high standard of service and contribute to improving processes and service delivery. Your commitment to data protection (GDPR) and meticulous attention to detail ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data.
