Lead Data/Business Intelligence Developer | Reading, hybrid | £80,000-£90,000 Our client is seeking a Lead BI Developer to take ownership of their data warehouse design and development. This role requires deep expertise in mortgage lending data and the ability to deliver business-driven solutions while leading key projects within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing infrastructure for reporting and analytics. Ensure data accuracy across the warehouse and underlying systems. Provide technical oversight for business-driven solutions aligned to data governance standards. Lead key workstreams for projects impacting data warehouse assets. Advocate for and implement data security best practices. Maintain and enhance the data dictionary and labelling across ETL systems. Mentor and support team members to foster a strong, resilient team. Deliver solutions aligned with the company’s strategic goals. Participate in on-call support to ensure operational data resilience. Skills & Experience Required: Extensive experience with UK mortgage data, including loan portfolios and securitisation. Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and data warehouse development. Proficiency in Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS. Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps and performance tuning. Experience with the Kimball methodology for data warehousing. Understanding of Agile development processes and QA standards. Strong communication skills to interpret and deliver business requirements effectively. Experience in financial services regulations, including Consumer Duty and TCF.
