A fantastic opportunity has opened up within the Endocrinology Department at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will have an interest in Lipidology and will work under the supervision of Professor Soran.
The Lipid Clinic provides a regional tertiary referral service for lipoprotein disorders, genetic dyslipidaemias, lipoprotein apheresis and lipodystrophies and is designated by NHS England to prescribe high-cost drugs and provide care for patients with Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolaemia.
The MRI lipid team is nationally recognised and has a proven track record in clinical research, with output contributing to changes in national and international practice.
Main duties of the job
* Attend Lipid Clinic to support regional tertiary service for lipoprotein disorders
* Contribute to departmental audit and research, and professional education
* Perform any other duties that are considered necessary for the efficient working of the service, and which are mutually agreed to be relevant to the post
