Material Controller£30,000 - £33,000 per annum + fantastic benefits07:30am - 16:30pm Monday to Thursday finish at 12:30pm on FridayWorking for a leading business who design and manufacture in advance engineering this pivotal role works in conjunction with the manufacturing team to help schedule and forecasts the correct volumes of materials and products to maintain the production flow.Working on the shop floor you will be able to build relationships at all levels and have a keen eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.Reporting to the Production Manager your duties:
1. Forecast supply and demand. (establish minimum levels, manage product changes)
2. Utilise Inventory management software to keep updated inventory records (Inventory audits, Goods-in, Goods-out, pic)
3. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate product/process changes (internally or externally).
4. Minimise stock loss and ensure business is left with minimum liability (Obsolete stock, Slow Moving Stock, oversee storage of critical items). Resolve 'material' (>£50) stock discrepancies - correcting system as appropriate and advising future corrective action.
5. Maintain stock levels in line with business requirement and to min/max levels.
6. Manage all customer consignment stocks and agreements.
